IASJ
Investor Advocates for Social Justice (IASJ), a successor to the Tri-State Coalition for Responsible Investment, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization representing investors with faith-based values who seek to leverage their investments to advance human rights, climate justice, racial equity, and the common good.
What we do
Our mission is to advocate on behalf of investors to promote human rights, climate justice, racial equity and the common good in our economy. IASJ helps individuals and institutions to leverage their investor voice to advance social, economic and environmental justice.
Our work includes:

SHAREHOLDER ADVOCACY, which encompasses a variety of strategies responsible investors can use to engage with companies in their investment portfolios about environmental, social, and corporate governance issues.

PARTNERING with stakeholders impacted by corporate activity to advocate for an equitable economy.

RAISING AWARENESS and equipping faith-based institutional asset owners with knowledge, tools, and frameworks to catalyse sustainable investments that further their values.

IASJ in the FCI Collaboratorium
IASJ is the project lead for 'Advancing inclusion and justice in mission-aligned investing', and a support partner in four other projects in the FCI Collaboratorium.
Human rights impacts can occur at any level of a value chain – from raw material extraction, to recycling and reuse. Forced labor, child labor, other labor rights violations and violations of Indigenous People's rights persist in global supply chains, despite government regulation and company commitments.
